TelephoneMessagePad allows you to search through past messages for years, with a capacity for efficient search of 10 million messages. This is a lot of messages. At 1 message every 30 seconds, 24 hours per day, every day of the year, 10 million messages will hold 100 years of messages.
Forgiving search
Most searches look for exactly what you typed in. If you search for telephone number (111) 222-3333, it will not be found if the number was entered at 111-222-3333. TelephoneMessagePad search strips all but the digits for doing telephone number searches.
It looks in both company and name fields for name matches. Thus, if you need to retrieve a call from Tom Jones of Tom Jones Automotive, you can retrieve it with a query "Tom Jones" whether only the company name or individual name was entered. Also, common prefixes (Mr., Mrs., Ms.) and suffixes (Inc.) are discarded.
Useful Results
When the results are found, clicking on the link for that message shows the entire message, including when the message was taken. This display is in the message taking screen, where a single click will re-send it. Thus, if the reason for the search was to retrieve a message the recipient says they did not receive, sending them another copy is an efficient operation.
