TMP is implemented as an internet-based service to avoid the many limitations of systems based on individual computers. The service is accessed via https (SSL encryption) as a standard feature, not a costly add-on. The service is routinely backed up to a standby system continuously. If the primary goes down, the secondary is activated and becomes the active system.
