Implementing simple To-Do using free-form form

Simple To-Do using free-form form
(1) Define a To Do category. You may define multiple categories, each holding a different list. There is nothing special in the name To Do. Use whatever name (s) you like. You may want to select a distinctive color so that To Do items can easily be identified.
(2) Use the free form entry to create the item. We have used the special email address of dontsend (no apostrophe) so that the item is net emailed. Of course, if you want to mail it, enter a list of email addresses. Set the category selection for to_do (created in step 1). You can use the Name/Id and other ID fields to classify and prioritize To Do items.

This note describes how a very simple multi-user To-Do list can be created and shared using Telephone Message Pad. Some types of To-Do items are personal and no one is suggesting using using Telephone Message Pad to share these private notes.

Some types of items are inherently shared among several people, each of whom may have a slightly different stake. For example, a perfect application is stocking office supplies where comments on colors, quantities, etc. can be coordinated before ordering.

Start by defining a "To Do" category (step 1) under Tickets >> Customize. This only needs to be be done once.

Fill out the Free Form entry (step 2) under Forms >> free_form.

Now you can see To Do items when you list your tickets under Tickets >> Show List. These items may be closed by changing the status from To Do to closed by clicking the 2-way arrow next to each item listed in the Show List. Indeed, you can change the status to any status you have defined under Tickets >> Customize. ?>
